Le Couteau Belge
This knife is not an ordinary folding knife, nor are the other knives. As the book title says, "Secret," this knife has a secret mechanism to open and close it. So that is why, out of respect for the maker, I can only show you pictures of the knife when it is in an open or closed position.
The knife mechanism and design are created by Laurent and Anne from the knife company "Le Couteau Belge," a couple who have their roots in Belgium and France. For this specific knife, they have chosen a blade made of XC75 steel that has been traditionally coated with gun bluing. And to stay in the gun theme, the handle is made from Turkish Walnut, a wood that is typically used for making hunting rifle stocks.
The name of the knife is a Belgian eye blink to the national hymn of Belgium, the
Brabançonne, but in this case, it is written with an "@". Each knife comes with a fine leather pouch.
If you say, "Hmmm, that intrigues me. I want to know more about that mechanism," then I would say visit them at one of the many knife shows that they do.
You could also have a look on their website, but then the secret stays in the shop.
It is a great knife to have and to have fun with it. And when you know finally the Secret, you can ask your friends and family to figure out how it works.
As always follow your country's rules when it comes to knives.
